Reality

For all Capitalism supporters, Few Latest (Negative) Achievements and Results of Robbery in the Era of Capitalism in 2009-2010:

* World Bank says that food prices are at dangerous level.
"[F]ood prices worldwide are rising to "dangerous levels" and have pushed 44 million people in developing countries into poverty since June last year. The food price index has climbed 15 per cent between October 2010 and January 2011, the World Bank said, adding that global wheat prices have doubled during the same period. ." (The Economic Times, "Rising food prices, slow recovery to top G-20 agenda", 18 Feb, 2011)
And it is not happening due to un-availability of the food products, but due to storing of these products by capitalist mediators, who are ruling the system for their more profit. We can see (if open our eyes!) that "war of profit" is the naked reality for the reason of every problem.

* "according to the definition used in the report {Asian Development Bank}, the vast majority of this middle class earns between Rs 1,000 and Rs 2,000 per person per month. Only 0.0009% of Indians earn more than Rs 10,000 per month."..."The vast majority of the Indian middle class 82% of it, or 224 million people - however, fit into the first category." . The conclusion of report, "Indian middle class earns between Rs 1035 and Rs 2070" ("The Times Of India", Aug 22, 2010 "Most of Indian 'middle class' earns between Rs 1000-2000" by  Rukmini Shrinivasan)

*. As a result of the crisis, some 64 million more people in the developing world are expected to fall into extreme poverty (defined as living on less than $1.25 a day) by the end of 2010 (World Bank Report 2010),
*. 1.5 billion live without electricity, 1 billion have no easy access to all-weather roads, and nearly 900 million have no choice but to use unsafe water(World Bank Report 2010),
*. In India almost half of all households—44 percent—lack access to electricity (World Bank Report 2010),
*. 81 million of workers below age 25 are unemployed. In UK it is one million (The Hindu, 21 Jan 2011, P.11).
*. In Orissa, India, half of the state’s 38 million people live under the poverty line (World Bank Report 2009).

Many people ask that what is wrong in the present society, while all are developing; all are in the path of progress, why to bother about society, live peacefully, etc. etc. Now the Answer is following, as we can not stop our senses to  hear, read and watch before our eyes:
1. Reference: InfoChange News & Features, September 2007 (http://infochangeindia.org/) "The struggle is towards more inclusive economic development: Arjun Sengupta” By Rashme Sehgal
Facts:
An overwhelming 79% of workers in the unorganised sector live on an income of less than Rs 20 a day, according to the National Commission for Enterprises in the Unorganised Sector (NCEUS), chaired by Arjun Sengupta.  The Commission’s recent report, entitled “Report on the Conditions of Work and Promotion of Livelihoods in the Unorganised Sector” says that over 394.9 million workers (86% of the working population) belong to the unorganised sector and work under “utterly deplorable” conditions with “extremely few livelihood options”.
The Suggession to Government by Arjun Sen Gupta:
"I cannot also say what the Bill (the Unorganised Sector Workers Social Security Bill, 2007) will do. At present, it is being considered by the Cabinet. We believe that if the Bill is implemented with some amount of conviction, it can transform the lives of millions of people. The National Rural Employment Guarantee Act also received a great deal of opposition." (All talk that how to over come the problems, but do not talk about the root of problems, that why problems are coming. These type of solution are like to tell the patient to use "pain killer" for the headache which was caused due to fever and do not do anything for fever. Most of the people spent their entire life in the searching of the solution for headache, and finally nothing happens with the patient.)

What are the Present figures?
A report by an expert group headed by Suresh Tendulkar, formerly chairman of Prime Minister's Economic Advisory Council, now estimates poverty at 37.2 per cent, an increase of roughly 10 per cent over the earlier estimates of 27.5 per cent in 2004-05; addition of 110 million people.
The reality of GDP and development:
The economic wealth of mere 30-odd rich families in India is equivalent to one third of the country's growth. The more the wealth accumulating in the hands of these 30 families, the more will be country's economic growth.
Now the Real facts of Poverty estimate:
Tendulkar committee has worked out that 41.8 per cent of the population or approximately 450 million people survive on a monthly per capita consumption expenditure of Rs 447.
It comes to bare Rs 14.50 per day. The rural population earning more than Rs 14 and less is BPL, but poverty measure say even Rs 25 a day be expected to be over the poverty line? How?
Now look at these 'Unobserved' facts and figures (truth) of the World:
(Note: These all figures are given by ruling government authorities; the reality will be worst)
1. In world, on average, 62 million people die each year, of whom probably 36 million (58 per cent) directly or indirectly as a result of nutritional deficiencies, infections, epidemics or diseases which attack the body when its resistance and immunity have been weakened by undernourishment and hunger. On the average, 1 person dies every second as a result, either directly or indirectly, of hunger - 4000 every hour - 100 000 each day - 36 million each year - 58 % of all deaths (2001-2004 estimates) [1].
2. In World, “6 million children still die every year from hunger-related illness before their fifth birthday”. On the average, 1 child dies every 5 seconds as a result, either directly or indirectly, of hunger - 700 every hour - 16 000 each day - 6 million each year - 60% of all child deaths (2002-2008 estimates) [2].
3. In the world total 1,116,210,039 workers are unemployed, with 355,747,353 in India (30% of total 1,173,108,018 population), 306,664,076 in China (22% of total 1,330,141,295 population). And 100,753,706 in USA (32% of total 310,232,863 population) 100,753,706. These three countries have 68% of world unemployed work forces [3].  And then Indonesia 67,382,896 out of 242,968,342 Brazil (53,432,350 out of 201,103,330 Pakistan 53,908,926 out of 177,276,594 Bangladesh 34,502,612 out of 158,065,841 Nigeria 42,040,299 out of 52,217,341 Russian Federation 51,483,633 out of 139,390,205 Japan 50,294,189 out of 126,804,433
4. 77% people of India (~ 84 crore people) live below the income of 20 Rupees per day. Still some middle class opportunists talk about the economical development [boom] in the India [4].
5.  About 645 million people or 55% of India's population is poor as measured by this composite indicator made up of ten markers of education, health and standard of living achievement levels. Multi-dimensional poverty is highest (81.4% poor) among Scheduled Tribes within India's Hindu population, followed by Scheduled Castes (65.8%), Other Backward Class (58.3%) and finally the general population (33.3%) [5]
6. Two million slum children die every year as India booms. One child dies in every 15 seconds [6].
7. More than 200,000 farmers have committed suicide in India since 1997 to 2008. One Farmer commits suicide in every 30 minutes [7].
8. India is estimated to have a one third of the world's poor [8].
9. Eight Indian states have more poor than 26 poorest African nations. An analysis by MPI creators reveals that there are more 'MPI poor' people in eight Indian states (421 million in Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Orissa, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal) than in the 26 poorest African countries combined (410 million) [9].
Now come to it, which is a topic of discussion for many carrier lower bourgeoisie economists: Nine Riches from India are in the top 100 wealthiest people of the World [11]

by Gargi Parsai [NEW DELHI, October 13, 2010]

"India is home to 42 per cent of the world's under-weight children. "

China is ranked at the ninth position, Myanmar is placed at number 50, Pakistan at 52 and Nepal, at 56, while Bangladesh is placed at 68, just behind India. India is placed in the ‘alarming' category, a notch lower than the ‘extremely alarming' bracket.
